comments on Permafrost parameters

Dear Zbynek,

A few comments regarding permafrost:

Soil moisture information is one of the key parameter for modelling of permafrost extent (Marchenko et al. 2008). The moisture regime is also important for active layer development (Shiklomanov et al. 2010). It has thus been included in the DUE Permafrost monitoring service.

I would suggest to add soil moisture on lines 210 und 363 where permafrost relevant parameters are listed.

Table 5/ page 21/22
Temperature is listed both as PF-2 and also in the additional parameters. It could be removed in the comments. The same line also includes some '...'
Here a suggestion for completion:
'Additional satellite products for permafrost models: Snow (depth, snow water equivalent), vegetation type, surface albedo, soil parameters (type, moisture)'

Best regards
Annett
