Template stylesheet and workflow for Search and Present operation

Hi all,
I noticed that on eoportal there is only a template stylesheet for "Order" and "RFQ", but not for EOLI "search" and "present" operations. That template is also missing from the ICD 1.6.
Moreover the template processes linked in the SSE Infocenter are ICD 1.5 but not 1.6 compliant so a provider willing to extend or modify the default WF for these operations has no template to use as a basis. I think it could be usefull for developers to have both old ICD-compliant and up to date templates for customizable operations (in terms of stylesheet and search query parameters) like EOLI ones.

Thanks and regards

Re: Template stylesheet and workflow for Search and Present operation

Hi Marco.

One of the reasons that these templates do not exist is that ESA wanted to have standard search interfaces (such as EOLI and the OGC ones) and then allow Providers to develop their custom search interfaces from scratch. The purpose of the Custom search interface is not to customize the EOLI interface, although it can be used for that.

However, it is true that in the current state the SSE-to-EOLI interface limits a bit what you can do and in some cases you are forced to workaround it by customizing the interface.

We can improve the documentation and samples/templates, but this may take some time. What you can do in the meantime is to use the default EOLI workflow that the SSE generates as a template or at least as a way to understand what it does. You can also look at the default stylesheet that the SSE generates for the standard EOLI interface (for example this one).

Can you also confirm that the 1.5 compliant templates that you mention are those at this link?

Regards,

Paulo
