iCOR4S3 processing service User Manual

iCOR is a software to atmospherically correct Earth observation data. It allows you to correct spaceborne, airborne and drone images for atmospheric effects for land and for inland, coastal and transitional waters. iCOR also corrects adjacency effects which improves the image quality at the water-land boundary.

iCOR4S3 (iCOR for OLCI Sentinel-3) is a modified implementation of the ICOR approach tailored to OLCI Sentinel-3 data, based on the version already implemented in SNAP for the correction of Sentinel-2 and Landsat-8 (De Keukelaere et al. (2018)).

iCOR4s3 Step by step Procedure

1. Select iCOR4S3 from the GPOD services list or use the following link  http://gpod/eo/esa/int/services/iCOR4S3

2. Set the main parameters related to GPOD processing: choose a task caption and select the Computing Element from the dropdown menu. If you are unsure, leave the default options.

3. Set the Area of Interest (AOI) and Time Range for the dataset query. You can either draw the AOI using the dedicated toolbar button or directly insert the LONLAT coordinates of its corners.

4. Select the dataset type.





5. Query the catalogue with the selected parameters.





6. Select the input datasets from the list by CTRL clicking on them. When selecting a dataset, the corresponding trace on the map will be highlited. 




7. The default processing parameters do not normally need to be changed. However, you can view and set them from the Advanced Configuration menu. This mode should be selected only by expert users or when the processing with standard parameters fails. For more information on these settings, please check the software manual.





8. You can also search for input datasets using CREODIAS Finder or Copernicus Scihub and then copy paste the list into the manual input box. When using this option, remember to select "Manual input of S3 OLCI L1 files" in the dataset type query box.






9. When you are done with selexting all the parameters, hit the : "Process it" button at the bottom of the page. You can then follow the state of the task by clicking on "Jobs Information". After completion, a download link will be generated for every output dataset.
