SMAAD
Introduction and Objectives
The objectives of the "Semantic-Web for Mediated Access Across Domains" (SMAAD) project are to:
- Verify that the service oriented architecture - SOA and standards proposed within HMA permit the easy linking of keywords within the metadata to more than one domain ontology and thesaurus.
- Amend as necessary and promote the related standards.
- Demonstrate with a pre-operational prototype that the proposed approach is a viable solution to the discovery support of EO and geospatial information and product users alike.
- Liaise with the INSPIRE and GEOSS initiatives to get feedback, test and demonstrate the usefulness and usability of the proposed approach.
Expected Results
