G-POD - Check cheduled production

Contents

Purpose

This page is intended to help the G-POD Administrator in the process to check the daily production.

General check (all the services)

In general it is possible to check the correct working of the scheduled services using the "Task Filters" service of the G-POD Web Portal.

To do so you can:

  • Push on the "Task Filters" button in the left of the Web Portal page
  • Write a filter name and description (ex. MGVI Scheduled Services failed)
  • Select the service you want to monitor and the user which own the service (You can find a list of the currently active scheduled services and their owners into the page Current Scheduled Jobs)
  • Select "Failed" as "Task Status"
  • Push "Save"

In this way you can check by ca click on the button below "Task Filters" with the name of the filter if any of the scheduled jobs fails.

Detailed checks

The fact that the job results successfully completed in the G-POD web portal does not mean that all the other operations, like the publish of the results on the G-POD and ESA web portal has been done successfully. Therefore for some scheduled jobs you need to perform other checks. In the following paragraphs are described the additional checks to perform for the G-POD main scheduled services.

Antartica daily

The publication of the service results into the G-POD Web Portal of the Antartica daily images is currently done manually. Therefore every day you need to login into the owner user of Antartica (see the page Current Scheduled Jobs), open the jobs for the day and push the "Register" button (top-right of the job details popup)

Monthly MERIS Mosaic

The publication of the service results into the G-POD Web Portal of the Monthly MERIS Mosaic images is currently done manually. Therefore every monthyou need to login into the owner user of Monthly MERIS Mosaic (see the page Current Scheduled Jobs), open the job for the last month and push the "Register" button (top-right of the job details popup)

MGVI tiles productions

To check if the MGVI tiles for a given day you can use the script testMGVItilesPRODUCTION.vbs. NOTE: the script is currently in beta testing.

MERIS lv3 and Monthly MGVI SI/PLC

Even if the G-POD web portal shows a correct execution of the MERIS lv3 and Monthly MGVI SI/PLC scheduled jobs, it is possible that the files have not been registered into the ESA web portal or that the web portal does not update correctly the links in the web pages. To check the presence of the files into the ESA web portal (daily and montly production) and the links in the portal web pages you can use the macros contained into the Test_L3_V2_1_0.xls file.

Wilking Ice Shelf monitoring

Even if the G-POD web portal shows a correct execution of the "Wilking Ice Shelf monitoring" scheduled jobs, it is possible that the files have not been registered into the ESA web portal or that the web portal does not update correctly the links in the web pages. To verify this, check the page http://www.esa.int/esaEO/SEMWZS5DHNF_index_0.html where the Wilkins animation should report the date of the last job produced by G-POD.
