G-POD NEST Service


The Next ESA SAR Toolbox (NEST) is a user friendly open source toolbox for reading, post-processing, analysing and visualising the large archive of data (from Level 1).

This service allows users to import an exisiting processing definition and run it on large quantity of products.



The Main Parameters panel and the Data Selection of the service GUI are
common features for all the G-POD services. For a generic guide about
G-POD and the GUI of the services, please refer to the G-POD User Manual.

Supported input datasets

The following figure shows the input datasets supported currently by the service.

Custom parameters

The service allows the user to customise their workflow by pasting their own processing graph xml which can be built and saved separately by using the NEST desktop version. Once the graph is ready the user can paste it on the service parameter text box to use it for the G-POD processing. Info on how to build a processing graph are available on the NEST documentation .


1) After logging with your EO-SSO account, acces the G-POD NEST Service page

2) Draw an Area of Interest (AOI) or insert the corners coordinates (e.g. : lon_min=9.5 , lat_min=38.5 , lon_max=16.6 , lat_max=45 ).

3) Select the input dataset and set start and stop time for the data search. Then press the query button to retrieve the available product list.

4) Select the input data for your processing. In the example the following products have been selected:

  • ASA_WSM_1PNIPA20080408_092026_000002072067_00308_31925_6698.N1
  • ASA_WSM_1PNIPA20080402_090958_000001652067_00222_31839_5794.N1

5) Set the Main Parameters (desciption is available in the G-POD User Manual ).

6) Prepare your input Nest xml graph and copy/paste it on the box available in the Processing Parameter box. Then press the Analyze Graph button to verify the validity of your input graph. If the Error Message board does not retrive any message the graph is valid.

Optionally you can subset your input products by enabling the checkbox and filling the the BBOX time parameter with the orbit time associated to the subsetting area.

7) Press the button "Process it!" to start the processing.

8) Monitor the task status on the G-POD workspace.

9) Once the task is completed download the results.

10) You can verify the processor logs by expanding the Jobs Information button.
